LAHORE: A fact-finding committee has found a professor at Government College University (GCU) Lahore guilty of sexually harassing his female students. A Facebook group comprising alumni of the university shared photo of the said teacher and alleged that he was sexually harassing his female students and would flunk them over failure to comply.
The member of the group further said that he decided to raise the issue on behalf of the affected student who had told him that the teacher was harassing her and her friends.
The said Facebook post also alleged that the teacher would force his female students to video chat with him while wearing inappropriate clothes.
The professor accused of sexual misconduct was suspended by the administration in July. A committee was subsequently formed to probe the matter, which gave its verdict on Thursday. The committee has found the teacher guilty of the said charges. A report in this regard has been presented to the Vice Chancellor of the varsity.
