Seven Supreme Court (SC) benches have been formed in Lahore for February 27-28. According to reports on social media, the step has been taken so the judges are able to attend the wedding of former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar’s son on public expense in the provincial capital.
Journalist Mehreen Zahra on her Twitter handle said apex court judges would attend ex-CJP Saqib Nisar’s son wedding on public expense while dispensing justice.

In response, journalist Waheed Murad tweeted a photo, that showed seven SC benches, comprising 11 apex court judges including CJP Gulzar Ahmed, have been formed in Lahore for February 27-28.

The judges who would attend the marriage on public expense included Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
