The annual issue of 'The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims' features a number of Pakistani's amongst whom is the Sufi Queen, Abida Parveen. Atif Aslam, Malala Yousufzair, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Maulana Tariq Jameel and Prime Minister Imran Khan are also part of the list published by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.
The Sufi singer is listed as one of the most influential Muslims in Arts and Culture. The publication writes about her: “Parveen is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, often referred to as ‘the Queen of Sufi mystic singing’. She is the only woman to reach this level of influence in devotional music."
