In a significant intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out in Balochistan’s Mastung district, Pakistan Army neutralised three terrorists associated with the Indian proxy network Fitna al-Hindustan. The operation, conducted on Wednesday, came at a high cost as two brave soldiers—Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain—were martyred while confronting the enemy.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the IBO was launched following credible intelligence reports about the presence of Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. The troops effectively engaged the militants’ location and sent three terrorists “to hell,” said the military’s media wing.
Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal, 31, a valiant officer from Khushab, led the mission from the front. He fought heroically before embracing martyrdom. Sepoy Nazam Hussain, 22, hailing from Jhelum, also laid down his life in the line of duty, defending Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the soldiers’ heroism, stating, “Major Zeeyyad and Sepoy Nazam have written a new chapter of sacrifice. India’s cowardly terrorism will be crushed at every front.” President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the attack, warning that India’s repeated ceasefire violations were pushing the region towards instability.
The Foreign Office lodged a formal protest, accusing India of orchestrating cross-border terrorism to divert attention from its internal crises, particularly in Kashmir. An emergency meeting chaired by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reviewed both diplomatic and military responses.
Despite a ceasefire understanding in place since 2021, India continues to provoke conflict. Analysts suggest these attacks are part of a calculated strategy by New Delhi to sabotage regional peace.
Pakistan has reaffirmed its resolve: any aggression will be met with full force. The nation stands united behind its armed forces.
