KARACHI: An 88-year-old man has donated one million rupees to Sindh’s Coronavirus Emergency Fund, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday tweeted.
Sindh had gone into lockdown on Monday and the provincial economy has for obvious reasons taken a big hit due to the measures introduced by the Sindh government to deal with COVID-19.
However, as they say, difficult times bring the best out of people. On Tuesday, CM Murad Ali Shah announced on Twitter that an 80-year-old man who wishes to remain anonymous has donated one million rupees to the government. The chief minister was clearly thrilled to receive the amount and the message from the retired citizen.

The number of Coronavirus cases has reached 958 in Pakistan and 7 deaths have so far been reported. The country is observing a nationwide lockdown. Sindh has been hit the worst by Coronavirus where the number of infected persons has reached 407.
