A court in Islamabad has extended the physical remand of Noor Mukadam's alleged murderer Zahir Zakir Jaffer for two days.
27-year-old Noor Mukadam was found murdered at a house in Islamabad on Tuesday. Former diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, who is the victim's father, lodged an FIR against Jaffar, who was arrested from the crime scene. The FIR included section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The accused was presented before the judicial magistrate's court today after his three-day physical remand was completed. His remand was extended for another two days. The court ordered his production again on July 26.
Dawn reported that the court order said, "Accused is nominated in the FIR and he is charged with heinous offence, therefore for the purpose of recovery and investigation two days physical remand is granted."
