National Commission for Minorities (NCM) chairman Chela Ram Kewalani has claimed that Hindus who left Pakistan to settle in India now wish to return because of India’s mistreatment of its citizens.
Kewali chaired the sixth meeting of the commission on Wednesday. He called on the Indian government to put an end to persecution of religious minorities.
While commenting on the problems faced by minorities in Pakistan, he said that the commission will do whatever is needed to improve the situation.
Attendees of the meeting condemned India’s high handedness against protesting farmers and said that it showed how minorities are mistreated in India.
