Former Punjab law minister and PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah's bail application has been granted by the Lahore High Court (LHC), and the court has issued orders for his release. The PML-N leader was arrested by Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) after alleged recovery of 15 KG of heroin from his car.
PML-N leaders had termed his arrest part of with-hunt against opposition leaders claiming that he was victimised for being a strong critic of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sanaullah's wife had claimed the police authorities were keeping her husband in terrible conditions and the family was not being allowed to meet him.
The government was under criticism from various quarters for not being able to present evidence proving recovery of drugs from the former minister's car.
