Journalists have been banned from reporting from inside Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, after a reporter who recently met the administration of the hospital tested positive for coronavirus.
According to journalist Iftikhar Firdous, they are claimed to be potential carriers and the media manager of the hospital will also be getting tested for the virus, because the journalists met him in the same office, the hospital director has reported.

According to Anadolou Agency, at least three Pakistani reporters have tested positive for coronavirus. The news was broken on Twitter, and then confirmed during the day that two journalists with News 24 HD TV and one with AbbTakk TV had contracted COVID-19.
While staffers in digital newsrooms have been asked to work from home, TV reporters have to be out in the field to hunt for news.
Journalists have not been provided with any Personal Protective Equipment and many field reporters have been putting themselves at risk every day.
As of today, Pakistan’s tally of confirmed virus cases has crossed 10,800 while deaths linked to the virus infections have climbed to 226.
