A Pakistani woman, who documents life in a village in Multan on her Youtube channel, revealed that she has been getting threats from 'people around her', asking her for money or hand over her channel to them.
In a video uploaded on channel Daily Routine that has over 180,000 subscribers, the Youtuber said she has been living in a constant state of fear ever since she received these threats due to her 'successful channel'.
Sharing details of the ordeal, the Youtube celebrity, who is a widowed single mom, said the blackmailers were using intimidation tactics to browbeat her. "The blackmailers said they would get my son-- who just passed his Intermediate exam-- killed or kidnapped," she said.
According to her, "They also warned that they would implicate my son and me in a false case from which we will never be able to get out." The woman said she has not let her son out of her house for over a week now because she feared for his safety.
"The suspects want my channel or the money that I earn from it," the woman said, adding that she really worked hard for this. "I use this channel to support my family and pay their education fees," she added.
The YouTuber concluded she would not back down and will fight for her right, as she asked her followers for support and dissemination of her word.
