Prime Minister Imran Khan has confirmed the extension of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa while Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza has been appointed as the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
A press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan had appointed Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza as the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee with effect from November 27, 2019.
The statement also recalled that a notification for reappointment of General Qamar Javed Bajwa as the army chief for another tenure of three years had already been issued on 19 August, 2019.
