2 Men Arrested For Shooting Teenage Boy After Failed Rape Attempt

Police have arrest two suspects for allegedly shooting a teenaged boy after a failed rape attempt in Muzaffargarh, whereas the third suspect remains at large.

According to a report in Dawn, a complaint was registered at a police station in the city, where it was alleged by the father of the teenaged boy that three men attempted to rape his son and then shot him for resisting the advances. The FIR was lodged under Articles 324, 377, 511, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to the FIR, the boy was lured to an eatery by two men, where a third man joined them. The suspects then forcefully took the victim to a forest where they attempted to assault him, the FIR claimed.

Upon resistance, the boy was reportedly shot in the hip and the suspects fled the scene, it went on to add. The wounded teenager was found by passersby, who heard him screaming and then informed his father. The victim is undergoing medical treatment at Nishtar Hospital.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rehan Rasool Afghan said that police had arrested the prime suspects within 24 hours, adding the third person will also be detained soon.
