Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif reached London for his treatment on Tuesday evening following days of quarreling between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
On November 16, the Lahore High Court had allowed Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad, whilst ordering the federal government to remove his name from the Exit Control List.
The removal of Nawaz’s name from the ECL and his departure to London has received all kinds of comments, with one side doubting his illness and the other criticising the ruling party for causing delays to the former PM’s treatment whilst praying for his health.
Followers of the PTI have particularly shed doubts on whether Nawaz Sharif was actually sick or not. A user took to Twitter to point out how there was no wheelchair, stretcher or hospital clothing.
