A soldier of Pakistan Army was martyred and three others sustained injuries in a terrorist attack at the Boya check-post in North Waziristan on Saturday night.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Monday that five terrorists were also killed in the attack.
The wounded soldiers and the martyr were soon shifted to a hospital in Miramshah following the incident. The injured have been identified as Saeed, Yasir and Shafqat.
A report by the local police claims that the check-post was ambushed with heavy weaponry, and the fallen soldier lost his life in the line of defense.
Following the attack, the area was cordoned off and a search operation was conducted. Security forces closed the Haqmzoni-Datakhel road for traffic on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Dawn reported about another incident of violence that took place in the Boya area that same night. A woman was hit by a bullet and survived the shooting by unknown persons. The woman, Shahzada Bibi, in a critical condition was taken to the district headquarters hospital in Miramshah.
