Real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, his wife and one of his employees reportedly violated the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Covid instructions by refusing to undergo Covid test at the airport after landing in Lahore.
A letter by Lahore airport chief operating officer and manager Akhtar Mirza has been doing the rounds on social media. The official wrote to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) headquarters, informing them that Malik Riaz did not give samples for the Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) and turned away a team of airport health staff that went to his home for the purpose.
Dawn.com reported that Riaz accompanied by three other people landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore via a chartered flight from Dubai on Sunday night. As per the SOP, they were asked to undergo the rapid diagnostic test. "But they did not respond and rapidly moved towards international arrivals exit gate," the Lahore airport COO said in the letter.
