A day after his arrival in Pakistan on a two-day visit, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman ordered release of 2000 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi jails.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, in a Tweet, said that MBS has ordered immediate release of over 2000 Pakistani prisoners in the Kingdom.
"As a sequel to Prime Minister of Pakistan's request, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of KSA Mohammad Bin Salman has ordered the immediate release of 2,107 Pakistani prisoners from Saudi Jails," Fawad said.

In a ceremony held at PM House in honour of the Saudi Crown Prince, Prime Minister Imran Khan made a special request to the former to look into the hardships faced by Pakistani labourers living in Saudi Arabia.
Khan also talked about the Pakistani prisoners saying that they were poor people who had left their families behind. Muhammad Bin Salman responded to Khan saying that Pakistan should consider him as their ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
He added that Saudi Arabia cannot say ‘no’ to Pakistan and will serve the country in any capacity possible.
The cases of remaining prisoners will also be reviewed.
Earlier today, MBS left for Saudi Arabia after a day-long visit to Pakistan. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) official Twitter said that a new era in Pak-Saudi relations has begun and Pakistan will make progress under the leadership of Imran Khan.

Muhammad Bin Salman arrived in Pakistan on Sunday. Salman was escorted by JF-16 and JF-17 Thunder Jets and was given a 21-gun salute upon reaching the capital.
He was received by Prime Minister Imran Khan, members of the Federal Cabinet and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the Nurr Khan airbase.
