Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has expressed solidarity with the families and relatives of missing Baloch citizens, urging Prime Minister Imran Khan to talk to the aggrieved families and help them.
"You have been placed in the corridors of power. It is your duty to listen to these people,” she reminded PM Imran.
Maryam Nawaz expressed these views at the protest staged by heirs of missing persons at D Chowk, Islamabad. She condemned the government’s inability to accept any commission seeking justice for the ones wronged.
Maryam said that everyone in the country including nurses, teachers, doctors are all protesting for their rights and demanding justice in PTI’s ‘New Pakistan’.
When questioned what she could do for the missing persons, she said that she does not have the power to bring an end to their plight.
Referring to the government’s inaction, Maryam said: “They say a lot of things before coming into power. Later, compulsions come in the way.”
