Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed a factory in Koral Pind on Sunday, for manufacturing fake carbonated drinks such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Pepsi.
PFA Director-General Irfan Memon raided the factory and wasted 2,026 liters of fake drinks. The authority’s team also confiscated 10,000 fake bottle lids, 620 empty bottles, six gas cylinders, filling machine, various chemicals, loose colors and a huge quantity of fake labels.
“Fake drinks are being manufactured using artificial sweeteners, saccharine, chemicals, and loose colors,” the director-general said.
PFA has also registered a case against the owner of the factory on account of forgery in the local police station.
