Saudi Crown Prince Arrives In Pakistan, His Plane Escorted By PAF Jets Upon Entrance In Pakistan's Airspace
Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman arrived in Pakistan on Sunday. His plane was escorted by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets upon entrance in Pakistan’s airspace.

Salman was escorted by JF-16 and JF-17 Thunder Jets. He will soon be given a 21-gun salute upon reaching the capital. He was received by Prime Minister Imran Khan, members of the Federal Cabinet and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who are currently present at the Nurr Khan airbase.

The government of Pakistan official statement welcomed the crown prince calling the visit 'historic'. "People of Pakistan warmly welcome Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman on his historic visit to Pakistan. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy the long-standing brotherly relations that are growing stronger and stronger," GoP said.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry welcomed the crown prince upon his arrival in Pakistan’s airbase via a Twitter message. “Most welcome Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and his family,” he said.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir landed at Nur Khan Air Base earlier today and was received by his counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

This is the first time the crown prince has visited Pakistan since becoming heir to the throne in 2017.

130 royal guards will accompany the Saudi prince. A 235-member delegation of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) led by ex-COAS Raheel Sharif is already in Pakistan to review the security situation and preparations for Muhammad Bin Salman’s visit.
