Sarang Joyo, a political and human rights activist, who was abducted from his Karachi residence, has returned home after a week-long disappearance.
According to Dawn, his father Taj Joyo, said that 'unknown people had dropped' his son off at Sohrab Goth around 1am, from where he took a taxi to come home.
Taj Joyo reportedly said that his son was advised to rest by a doctor. He added perhaps Sarang would narrate his ordeal after regaining his strength.
Sarang Joyo, a writer, political activist and Research Associate at Sindh Abhyas Academy, had been whisked away from his house in Karachi reportedly by the law enforcement agencies on Aug 11. His family had shared the news of his abduction, questioning whether this was the state of Madina that the prime minister had promised.
A few days later, his father declined the President’s Pride of Performance Award on account of the enforced disappearance of his son Sarang Joyo.
