Salahuddin Ahmad, a member of Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s legal team who represented him in presidential reference case, has won the Sindh High Court Bar Association elections. Salahuddin Ahmad was elected President of the Sindh High Court Bar Association on Sunday after defeating the candidate backed by Law Minister Farogh Naseem.
Salahuddin Ahmed won the elections with the highest ever lead of 1102 votes. He took 1610 votes whereas Ahmed Ali Shah who was backed by the federal Law Minister could only get 510 votes.
Salahuddin later on Sunday night thanked the advocates who voted for him.

Salahuddin had represented Justice Qazi Faez Isa in presidential reference case. The presidential reference against Justice Isa was quashed by the supreme court in June however the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was directed to seek explanation from his family members on the nature and source of funding for the offshore properties in their names. Sirina Isa, wife of Justice Isa filed a review petition in the court against the decision which will be heard on 16th of November.
