A photo of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah standing alongside mourners at a Shia procession has been doing the rounds on social media with people claiming that the chief minister flouted his own government's social distancing restrictions by participating in a Youm-e-Ali procession held on Friday (yesterday). But the picture is actually from a 2018 Ashura procession in Karachi.
Among those who shared the misleading picture on their social media was politician and former military dictator Gen Zia ul Haq's son Ijaz Ul Haq. However, after being called out for misleading his followers, he deleted the tweet.
