A group of political workers, allegedly from Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N), threw eggs and stones at Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, which led to aerial firing by his guards. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.
The minister along with his colleague Minister Murad Saeed and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) AJK leader Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was heading to Chinari for participating in party candidates' election campaigns when the incident took place.
The ruling PTI has accused AJK Prime Minister Rafa Farooq Haider of giving instructions for the 'attack' on the minister. The official PTI account also shared a clip of the incident.
