The Pakistan Railways has revived the Lahore-Wagha train according to statement made by them on Saturday.
The line was revived after 22 years and is part of a greater project of connecting Lahore with its suburbs through the use of railways. They are currently working on launching the Lahore-Raiwind line and the Lahore-Gujranwala line.
Giving more details about the Lahore-Wagha project, the official said that the train will make three round trips daily. These trips will allow the train to transport around a 1000 people daily. The ticket price per person would be 30 rupees.
They further said that the project is being initiated to help people rather than to make profit, hence the low ticket fare.
