Umer Shah, the younger brother of social media sensation Ahmad Shah, passed away in the early hours of Monday, his family confirmed in an emotional social media post.
Ahmad, who rose to fame after his viral “Peeche dekho” video and later through television shows such as Jeeto Pakistan and Shan-e-Ramazan, shared the tragic news on Instagram. “This is to inform the little shining star of our family, Umer Shah, has returned to Allah Almighty,” his post read. “I request everyone to remember him and our family in your prayers.”
Like his elder brother, Umer also became a beloved figure on social media. Often appearing alongside Ahmad in television transmissions and viral videos, Umer charmed audiences with his innocence, lively expressions, and close bond with his sibling. The duo became household names, especially during Ramadan shows where their playful antics captured nationwide attention.
Anchor Waseem Badami, who frequently hosted the brothers, revealed that doctors confirmed Umer died after vomiting, which entered his lungs and led to a cardiac arrest. The incident occurred around the time of the Fajr prayer.
The Shah brothers, natives of Dera Ismail Khan, had recently posted pictures together in school uniforms. Fans say the screens will feel emptier without Umer’s radiant smile and spirited presence.
