Peshawar Bar Council Also Condemns SC Decision Barring Justice Isa From Hearing PM’s Cases
Peshawar Bar Council has followed into the steps of Pakistan Bar Council and Balochistan Bar Council and questioned the Supreme Court’s order that barred Justice Qazi Faez Isa from hearing cases pertaining to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a press release from 15th February, the Peshawar Bar council wrote that “the exclusion of Justice Qazi Faez Isa from certain kind of benches and fom hearing cases related to certain kind of entities naturally leads to the logical inference that violence is being quelled.”

The press release further read: “it seems that Pakistan has pioneered a new law where through judicial edict we exclude dissenting judicial voices from benches.... Such despotic practice is followed in no other legal system and it is worrying to see that it is taking root in Pakistan.”

Justice Isa was barred from hearing cases involving the premier in an order issued by the Supreme Court by a bench headed by the Chief Justice Gulzar on 11th Feb.
