Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hina Parvez Butt has said that Turkish television series Diriliş: Ertuğrul reminded her of party’s Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s courage and resilience.
Hina Butt took to Twitter to express her feelings about the Turkish drama series. “After watching Diriliş: Ertuğrul, I had a thought that Maryam Nawaz has same qualities as depicted in the drama. She has firm believe in God, she doesn’t lose hope even in the most difficult times, and she is brave,” Hina said.

The PML-N leader further noted the qualities of Maryam Nawaz and said that she knows to differentiate between good and evil people, and she stay determined even after facing severe criticism from everyone.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced that the Turkish show Diriliş: Ertuğrul would be broadcasted on state-owned channel Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) from the beginning of Ramzan.
The then special advisor to the prime minister (SAPM) on information Firdous Ashiq Awan had said that the government took the initiative as the premier wanted to protect Muslims’ social values and religious norms. The poster shared by the minister seems to have been inspired by a similar show.
