The Economic Coordination Committee has approved 300 million rupees on the recommendation of the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) for a special security force at the Kartarpur Corridor.
The force will be made by the Pakistan Rangers for the security of the region.
The application of this grant was made by the Interior Ministry and was approved in a meeting headed by the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
To further justify this grant, a committee consisting of the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reform and Austerity Ishrat Hussain, a representative of the Interior Ministry and the Secretary of Finance will be made.
The Kartarpur Corridor was opened on the 9th of November for Sikh yatris.
