Jhang Residents Form Human Image Of Christchurch Mosque
Thousands of Pakistanis clad in white gathered in Jhang city and formed a human image of Christchurch Mosque in solidarity with victims of the New Zealand attack.

Drone images showed worshipers lined up in a formation to create the image of the mosque. All of the worshipers were clad in traditional white Shalwar Kameez and prayer caps in stark contrast.

Huge New Zealand and Pakistani flags were also displayed along with a giant banner which read: "Solidarity with the martyrs of Christchurch from Pakistan".



The tribute was organized by Muslim institute, a non-profit organization working for peace and stability in the Muslim world.

9 Pakistanis were killed in the Christchurch attack when a gunman opened fire at worshipers during Friday prayers on March 15.

The dead were identified as Zeeshan Raza, his father Ghulam Hussain and mother Karam Bibi, Naeem Rashid and his 22-year-old son Talha Naeem, Sohail Shahid, Syed Jahandad Ali, Syed Areeb Ahmed and Mehboob Haroon.



Naeem Rashid, who lost his life while  attempting to prevent a terrorist from shooting worshippers at a mosque in New Zealand was was conferred a posthumous national award.

"Pakistan is proud of Mian Naeem Rashid who was martyred trying to tackle the while Supremacist terrorist  and his courage will be recognized with  a national award," Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a tweet.
