One of the security cameras, according to Alam, was vandalised by the assailants. However, another camera that recorded the incident was not caught and the footage is available.
Earlier in January, Imtiam Alam's same house was allegedly ransacked by unknown men who held the domestic staff hostage and beat them up. Alam’s wife and daughter were home at the time of the incident.
More than ten men had carried out the attack and also hurled threats at Imtiaz Alam’s wife.
According to Alam, police made no arrests despite registration of FIR.
