‘PTI Is Not A Political Party But A Cult’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) people are saying that the party founder, Imran Khan, is ready for talks, but he will hold talks only with the Army Chief. The system is stuck because of one man's populism. If you are so popular, should you be allowed to destroy the entire system? It will not be an easy task for JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to form an alliance with Imran Khan, as his supporters are not willing to form an alliance with Imran Khan.

This was stated by senior journalist Ejaz Ahmed while speaking at Naya Daur TV’s talk show “Khabar Se Aagay.”

During the program, senior journalist Agha Iqar Haroon said that dialogue can be held between political forces, but the PTI is not a political party; it is a cult. He said that Imran Khan will only be ready for talks if the state makes such a law that whatever Imran Khan has done or will do next will not come under the law and releases him. “I am afraid Imran Khan’s attitude could lead to another May 9 incident,” he added.
