Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued a stay order against the Punjab government’s move of converting former finance minister and PML-N leader Ishaq Dar’s home into a shelter house.
LHC has directed the government to stop the conversion of former minister's home and to submit a detailed answer in this regard in 10 days.
The Punjab government on Friday had decided to turn Ishaq Dar's house into a shelter for the homeless people in the city. Ishaq Dar, in a video message released following the government's move, had rejected the decision saying that it was the violation of an earlier order of Islamabad High Court (IHC). He termed the conversion of his home into shelter home contempt of court.
