The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced that no citizen will be allowed to travel by air without a vaccination certificate from August 1 onward. The directives to this effect have been issued, the NCOC said on Friday.
Further, the centre said that Covid SOPs have been tightened from July 9 to 18 across the country in light of the emergence of Delta variant. It also said that a comprehensive plan has been formed to tackle the Delta variant and other variants that have surfaced in Pakistan.
The NCOC warned that non-compliance of the SOPs could prove to be disastrous, nothing that the Delta variant resulted in hundreds of deaths in India and caused a shortage of oxygen due to the exhaustion of healthcare system.
The NCOC vowed to expedite the administering of vaccines to help deal with the emerging situation and a possible fourth wave.
