Pakistan Muslims League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has blamed party supporters for not coming out on the streets to protest for their rights.
During a talk show, Asif and the host discussed why people in Pakistan do not actively engage in agitation against the violation of their rights.
Khawaja Asif said that in India, the government passed laws which were against fundamental rights, and without any discrimination between religion, people were standing up for their rights.
The PML-N leader stated that Pakistanis were not ready for such actions. He added, “In Pakistan, people think they have played their part after making a Twitter and Facebook post.”
The host opined that the party leadership was like this. In response, the PML-N lawmaker denied that the leadership was to blame for this situation, saying that Mian Nawaz Sharif was someone who had pursued his ideology for thirty years.
