Farmer Who Filed Case Against Police For Murder Of Fellow Farmer Arrested In Lahore
Raiwind police arrested Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI) President Chaudhry Anwar, from his home on Monday. His arrest has been termed an attempt to force the farmer leader to withdraw the request to register murder case against police that he had filed three months ago after a protesting farmer was killed by police at a protest in Lahore against price hikes.
PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has said that the arrest is meant to pressure Anwar into withdrawing his case against the police.
