LAHORE: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has on Tuesday announced that all members of the parliament belonging to the alliance parties will tender their resignations by December 31 to their respective parliamentary leaders.
In a press conference held in Lahore, Fazl said that PDM jalsa in Lahore will be held on December 13 at Minar-e-Pakistan and any moves by the government to sabotage it will be met with resistance fiercer than the one they got in Multan.
The PDM leader said that Prime Minister Imran Khan said things today as if he had no idea what was happening in the country. “He’s requesting NRO, not just a dialogue”, says Fazl. He added that all legislators, including Sindh Assembly members, will tender their resignations by December 31.
A meeting of the party leaders of PDM was held in Lahore at PMLN’s central secretariat where former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari also joined via video link. A meeting of the steering committee will be held tomorrow and the decisions on public rallies and public gatherings will be given a final shape.
