Nashwa Case: Owners of Darul Sehat Hospital Escape from Court after Their Bail Pleas Are Rejected
The owners of Darul Sehat Hospital – Amir Chishti and Ali Farhan – escaped from court premises in Karachi today (Tuesday) after their bail pleas were rejected, reported The Express Tribune.

Earlier, the defence lawyer during the hearing said that it was a responsibility of the investigation officer to probe the matter properly. In the interim bail, Section-119 had been added and then Section-322 was imposed, he argued.

“A case of unintentional murder could have been made but the investigation officer also registered a case of Section-302,” said the lawyer.

However, the court later dismissed the bail pleas, following which Chishti and Farhan fled the court.

Nashwa Ali’s father Qaiser Ali told media representatives after the hearing, “Even in a previous hearing, the accused [the doctors] had fled and now two more accused easily slipped away from the court.”

He was talking about the two doctors, who are prime suspects in Nashwa’s case, who had also managed to escape from court after their bail was cancelled.

Announcing that he will approach the Supreme Court against the de-sealing of Darul Sehat Hospital, Qaiser said, “We will tell the court that till the day it starts utilising eligible workforce and good standard equipment, the hospital should not be de-sealed.”

On April 22, Qaiser took his twins — Nashwa and Amisha Ali — to Darul Sehat Hospital because they were suffering from diarrhoea.

Nine-month-old Nashwa was allegedly given improper treatment at the hospital that paralysed her and led to her death.
