In a major faux pas, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Maiza Hameed Gujjar landed in a meeting of her party's arch-rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by mistake.
According to media reports, the PML-N member of National Assembly (MNA) mistakenly went to the PTI’s parliamentary party’s meeting.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is currently engaged in deliberating over the bills which pertain to the extension in the tenure of the services chiefs and is holding consultative meetings within the party. The PTI tabled these bills seeking amendment to Pakistan Army Act, Pakistan Navy Ordinance, And Pakistan Airforce Act.
The National Assembly is likely to approve the bills today. Meanwhile, the Pakistan People’s Party has said that the proposed amendments in the Army Act do not fall in line with the parameters set by the Supreme Court and hence the party is looking to bringing the necessary amendments to improve the Act.
