Just when we thought we could not find more reasons to love West Indian superstar Darren Sammy, he proves us Pakistanis wrong again.
Upon reaching Pakistan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 4, Darren Sammy posted a picture on Instagram in which he expressed his gratitude saying that ‘united we stand, divided we fall. Nothing but love for the people of Pakistan.’
But one particular Instagram user thought it was cool to call Pakistanis ‘terrorists’ and thought he would get away with it or get the applause of the masses. Quite the contrary, he got a response from Darren himself, who told the troll to get off his page.
The message was simple and clear from the West Indian star. That there is no place in his life and his social media pages for people who spew hatred towards others.
Pakistanis on Instagram called Darren Sammy ‘a Pakistani hero’, and they truly expressed the sentiments of the entire nation for the Peshawar Zalmi skipper.

Sammy has captained the Zalmi franchise in two out of the past three seasons. He was handed over the leadership after Shahid Afridi decided to quit playing the skipper’s role.
He also lead the Zalmi side to PSL 2 victory.
PSL season 4 kick-starts on February 14th at Dubai International Stadium. Peshawar Zalmi will face Quetta Gladiators on February 15th in their first match of the tournament.
