“Everyone holds his fortune in his own hands, like a sculptor the raw material he will fashion into a figure. But it’s the same with that type of artistic activity as with all others: We are merely born with the capability to do it. The skill to mold the material into what we want must be learned and attentively cultivated.” —GOETHE
We all possess the abilities and superpowers to reach to a higher type of intelligence, one that can qualify us to see a greater amount of the world, to foresee patterns, to respond with speed and precision to any situation. This knowledge is developed by profoundly immersing ourselves with the pursuit for answers and remaining consistent with our tendencies, regardless of how unusual our methodology may appear to other people.
Through such profound immersion over numerous years we then are able to add an intuitive feel for the entangled segments of our life. At the point when we combine this instinctive feel with the rational procedures, we extend our minds to the furthest reaches of our capacity and can see into the mystery of life itself. This superpower is what our minds were intended to achieve, what the archetype of perfection, the ‘Crown of the Creations’ were intended to achieve. The question is, how well do we know ourselves? Do we know who we are?
Let’s start the story now. There was a child who attended one of the best schools in his country, went to the great colleges and universities but always knew for a fact, that something is missing in his life. Curious for answers and absolutely tired of the rat-race, he left his university. Scared and depressed, he didn’t know what to think or how to think until one day. Yes, that one day that changed his ‘Perception’, that changed his ‘Lens’ forever and ever.
Used to wasting time on the internet, listening to so-called ‘Teachers’, he stumbled upon an old video of an individual. The video was titled ‘Peak Performance’, and there was a young man with a spark in his eyes speaking eloquently with utmost brilliance. Such poise, such confidence, such ‘Truth’ never had he ever witnessed. This total change of energy inside him made him look into that very ‘Speaker’ and made him more curious than ever, indeed, he had found the missing piece of the puzzle. The very next day, he spent hours and hours searching for a book in different bookstores and finally got his hands on a masterpiece titled ‘The Road to Success’ written by the very ‘Speaker’. Hence, the journey started. I think by now you have figured out that the very protégé in this story is me and the guide, the light that I received from was/is Sir Faiez Hassan Seyal.
How do you write on such a big personality? Where do you start? Everything they say, believe, or do is flawless. Therefore, the ongoing journey can be only given justice to by Walt Whitman’s artistic words from Leaves of Grass, a classic collection of poetry that took almost 40 years to be perfected.
‘’When I heard the learn’d astronomer;
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me;
When I was shown the charts and the diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them;
When I, sitting, heard the astronomer, where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick;
Till rising and gliding out, I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars”
The speaker in the poem is listening to a commended astronomer give a talk, however, before long, he becomes exhausted and loses interest, so he leaves the hall for wandering around alone in the night, taking a look at the real stars with his own eyes, rather than the graphs and equations, the marvel of the space had been decreased to.
Sir Faiez Hassan Seyal liberated me from myself and made me meet my true self.
