Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has claimed that some federal ministers told him that the minutes of the cabinet meetings are often changed under ‘mysterious circumstances’ and the final decisions announced publicly are contrary to what the cabinet decides.
The former premier, during an interview to a private channel News One, claimed: “A number of ministers and members of federal cabinet have told me that sometimes decisions are announced publicly without even discussing the matter in the cabinet meeting, and at times final decisions that were announced publicly were contrary to what was decided in the cabinet.”

The PML-N leader said that Prime Minister Imran Khan, on occasions, directed the cabinet members to approve ‘secret summaries’ without even discussing or reading them.
“The cabinet has approved the summaries which we rejected in our last tenure. We were even offered money to approve those summaries but we didn’t do so, as they were totally against the national interests of Pakistan. On the other hand, the summaries meeting all the merits are being rejected,” Khaqan Abbasis noted.
