Broadsheet LLC’s CEO Kaveh Moussavi has claimed that Federal Minister Ali Zaidi was in contact with him and told him that he would be summoned by the Broadsheet Commission headed by retired Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed for his testimony, but the minister did not keep his promise.
Geo News quoted him as saying that he would lodge a defamation case in London High Court against Justice Azmat Saeed in a week if the Broadsheet Commission head does not issue an apology for the defamatory remarks made against him.
In the broadsheet commission report, Kaveh Moussavi was termed a 'convicted felon' by Justice Azmat Saeed. Moussavi was convicted around 20 years ago for eight months in a case registered by oil giant Vitol against him.
The Broadsheet CEO told Pakistan media that Justice Saeed was unaware of the difference between 'civil contempt' and 'criminal contempt'. He added,"even a first year student of law" would know the distinction.
