Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Thursday said that even if petrol prices soar to Rs200 per litre, people will still purchase it.
Vawda was speaking to the media after laying the foundation stone of Mahmund Dam, where he took jabs at opposition parties. “Those who have looted the countries for 40 years and driven people into darkness are advising the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on how to run a government,” Vawda said.
He continued that the people of Pakistan have voted Prime Minister Imran Khan to power so he holds all of these ‘corrupt’ people accountable for their wrongdoings. He said that the public will buy petrol at Rs200 per litre and will cut their expenses but they would not compromise on accountability of the ‘corrupt’.
“Imran Khan has taught me that designations don’t matter, work does. The enemy forces have tried their best to take the country back years, but this nation is strong enough to bear all sorts of problems.”
Vawda also announced that the government will provide 25 to 28 thousand employment opportunities under the Mahmund and Diamer and Bhasha Dam projects.
Last month, Faisal Vawda said that the government will create a total of 1 million jobs soon, reported Business Recorder.
Speaking to a private news channel, Vawda made yet another tall claim.
He also blamed the previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government of inflation and economic crisis.
