A man was arrested in Muzaffargarh on Sunday, for fake alert call on coronavirus regarding a family, who recently came back to Alipur after pilgrimage in Iran.
Muhammad Tariq called police emergency (15) on Saturday night, claiming that a family who had reached home after visiting holy places in Iran had contracted coronavirus. When the police reached there, the family members told the police that their testing for coronavirus had been done by the doctors at the border and none of them was carrying the virus.
The family was sent to hospital and it was allowed to go home after the doctors gave it clearance. Later, Muzaffargarh police registered the case against Tariq for a fake alert and arrested him.
