Pakistan Army Thursday categorically denied Indian claims it had deployed troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gilgit Baltistan and that there were Chinese troops present inside the country.
According to Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar, the claims are false and irresponsible.

"News circulating in Indian electronic and social media claiming additional deployment of Pakistan Army troops along LoC in GB and alleged use of Skardu Airbase by China is false, irresponsible and far from truth," DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a Twitter post today.
He further said there was no presence of Chinese troops in the country, thus denying the second claim made in the recent Indian media reports.

Earlier, Indian media claimed that Pakistan had deployed "almost 20,000 additional soldiers" in Azad Kashmir along the LoC and Gilgit. The false reports had termed it an attempt to match Chinese deployments on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on the eastern side. The outlets had also claimed that Pakistan had made the deployment as it did following the alleged Balakot strike.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had told National Assembly that he had no doubts about Indian involvement in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) attack in Karachi that claimed lives of four personnel.
