The judgment of the Honourable Ombudsman Sindh, holding Mr Moonis Alvi, CEO of K-Electric, guilty of workplace harassment, marks a landmark moment for the rights of working women across Pakistan.
While a temporary stay has been granted by the Honourable Sindh High Court on a legal technicality, the complainant’s legal team has stated they will pursue every legal avenue to uphold the original judgment so that justice may prevail.
This verdict, following a five-year legal battle, sends a clear message: no position of power can shield misconduct. There is no ethical, moral, or professional justification for retaining an individual found guilty of such behaviour.
