PPP Leader Who Abused Chief Justice In Viral Video Tells Court He Was Not In His Senses
Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Karachi leader Masoodur Rehman Abbasi who is facing contempt charges has said that he was not in his senses when he issued abusive remarks against Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmad earlier this month.

Dawn reported that Abbasi, who is an PPP office-bearer of the PPP from Karachi's PS-114 constituency, appeared before a four-member bench of the Supreme Court to explain as to why he made insulting remarks about the chief justice.

A video where he was seen using profanities against the CJP had gone viral on social media.
After his response to the court, Justice Umar Ata Bandial asked the accused to submit a written response to the court because a verbal statement will not help in deciding the case.
