Three people in Karachi including senior civil aviation staff and a pilot have been detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)over the fake licenses fiasco.
Express News reported that those arrested included officers of the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) license branch in the provincial capital.
The detainees were identified as Additional Director Licensing Mehmood Hussain, Senior Superintendent Human Resource Abdul Raees, Senior Joint Director Faisal Manzoor, Senior Joint Director Asif-ul-Haq, and pilot Saqlain Ali.
A report on the matter also said that licenses of 28 out of 101 pilots have been suspended, while seven have been cancelled.
