Following the backlash from cricket fans across the country, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has acknowledged the fact that various mistakes were committed in opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League (PSL) fifth edition, that was held on Thursday in National Stadium Karachi.
According to a news report published in Pro Pakistani, PCB has admitted the shortcomings and clarified the reasons behind the mismanagement in organizing the PSL’s opening ceremony. PCB has promised to learn from these experiences to further improve the quality of events in the future.
While clarifying the nationalities of a number of personnel involved in PSL ceremony, PCB said a diverse group of people worked really hard to make the event a big success. “It must be remembered modern-day high-tech broadcast technologies are neither locally available, nor are the personnel trained to operate these technologies,” PCB said.
The cricket board has also promised to bring cricket to all cities of Pakistan, so that the sport becomes more accessible for all the fans.
