2018 is about to come to a close. A lot has happened this year, including the FIFA World Cup in Russia which France won.
Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo has left Real Madrid, who are now struggling to find past glory. The Portuguese, however, seems alright at Juventus.
Then we have Lionel Messi, for whom, nothing has changed except for some role shift. Now he is Barcelona’s captain. Otherwise, he continues to do what he does best, score goals, distribute goals, win games, eat, sleep and repeat.
In England, Liverpool are on top with Manchester City and Chelsea running after them. Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho.
In Italy, Juventus continue to rule and in Germany, the mighty Bayern don’t seem to have much trouble.
All of it, however, has unfolded dramatically and since goals are what we live for in football, let’s take a look at 2018’s best efforts.
Little Leo receives the ball, cushions it with his knee, takes a touch and smashes it past the goalkeeper. He makes it look so easy.
Eden Hazard wriggles his way past virtually anyone in his way and blasts it past the goalkeeper
Barcelona's young star receives a rebound at the half way line, runs all the way towards goal and chips it over the goalkeeper for a crisp finish
Neymar Junior scores a brilliant solo goal against Dijon
Gets past 6 Tottenham players and scores out of nowhere
Fancy a goal from half-way line?
The Frenchman puts his team back on level terms with a screamer
Coutinho with a Coutinho special
This was when Ronaldo was not in Juventus but still received a standing ovation in Turin
Gareth Bale in the Champions League 2018 final against Liverpool. Big goal for a big occasion.
